Pous Index
The Pous index is one of the many quantitative
tools used to evaluate the quality of a researcher's works.
It is defined as the length of the smallest author chain reaching
Damien Pous for the
copublication relation (very similar
to the Erdös
number , yet using Damien Pous instead of Paul Erdös).
A
useful website for computing one's own Pous index, (as well as a
great number of other indices).
The Pous Index is considered more accurate than
the Habermehl Index, even if the latter is more universal, and can be used in
other research fields.
