HP 48 MESS Artwork

Artwork files are required to enjoy the best emulation experience with MESS. There is an artwork archive for each calculator model.

The files should be put still compressed into the artwork MESS sub-directory, overriding the artwork files that may be provided with your MESS installation.

Each artwork file contains two skins:

• a default minimal one that shows only the screen with the six annunciators on top of it;
• a full one that also shows the calculator case and all the keys; mouse clicks can be used to press keys.

For a best experience, switch to the full mode in MESS' built-in video option menu.

Note: these artwork files are very similar to the ones included by default in the MESS distribution. The only difference is that, in the official distribution, the case and keyboard images are omitted to reduce space, and so, only the minimal skin is functional.

If the announciators are not displayed, this means that the no artwork file is found.

Some files used in these artworks are based on images from hpcalc.org by unknown authors, some are my own. As far as I am concerned, these can be freely redistributed.
